Nahal Alexander 12/13/2012

Some old debts:

So I'm sure all of you saw some of these pictures on my father's Facebook (or as he's called around here Grandpa Yehuda)! but here is a small compilation of the beautiful trip Grampa took his grandkids on around Hanuka...

Nahal Alexander is a nature preserve that has different parts, all well kept and very pretty, especially in the winter.

Daniel and his new Skateboard

Daniel just had his 5th birthday (more on that in an upcoming post), one of the presents didn't make it in time, and that was his new skateboard.

Grandpa Yehuda really outdid himself this time, it took longer since he had to go to a few stores to assemble the kit including the protective gear and even a special sack to store them in - too bad Mia and Daniel didn't understand how to open it and decided to slice it open with their scissors... :-(

So immediately we started to teach Daniel how to skate, not that my father and I are accomplished at this sport, but still, the basics are pretty, well, basic, and today I took Daniel out for a session again. He was very upbeat and dedicated to it before he got to thirsty and anyway had to go to kindergarten. Still he managed to get some mileage on it and even skated down several speed-bumps with success!

A small technical update: I'm consolidating all the family blogs into one http://kids.eshel.us all the old blogs will redirect automatically to the new one.

First day of school, first grade - MIA!!!

Mia went today for the first time to school.
She will be learning in Nechalim in Kita Alef...

It was very exciting, waking up, getting dressed... Mommy took her to school for the first time, meeting the teacher and more.

Next day she went to the bus-station to await the school bus.

Daniel started Gan-Chova with the gananot Orit and Kochava (he is known by the title Little Moishie), and will start school next year. Haleli Zion is going to Rachel where she is the ONLY GIRL (our baby princess)!

The kids posed for the first day

(daddy built a bench for her to sit on while waiting for the bus).

Daniel's 5th birthday

We had a great time at Dandush's 5th birthday!

Lots of great people, shade, comfortable chairs, a bonfire, hot-dogs, marshmallows, cupcakes,  and lots of paratroopers landing around us (sorry we forgot to take pictures).

Happy Birthday danudush!!!

In Gan Guru

We went for a short summer vacation, a quick hop to the north, not too many images survived - but the most important thing was that we had fun...

So here are some pictures from our visit to Gan Guru, an australian animal petting park with Kangurus, parrots, Koala bears and more...

Tu Bi'shvat in Gimzo

It was a cold, wet and gray day, but everybody wanted to plant trees, so we decided to go for it!

Thanks to Hershy's muscle power and Moishie's acrobatic skills (balancing Haleli on one hand while digging and calming Ella who wanted to help her daddy:-)) - two deep holes were quickly dug and Mia, Daniel and Yoav planted two young trees in them. They then covered them up and placed a nice circle of rocks around so that no one steps on them by mistake.

the pictures of us after the planting and a beaytifull almond tree in bloom.
